SEPARATING MIGRANT CHILDREN FROM PARENTS MAKE TRUMP AND SESSIONS BRUTAL BEASTS

Donald Trump and his backwards administration has performed other evil acts over the last seventeen months, but to forcibly separate migrant children from their parents brings America to an all-time, shameful low that is not only contemptible but excruciatingly embarrassing.  Such scandalous behavior by the United States government is reckless and reprehensible.

For U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions to invoke the Bible as a way to defend the splitting up of families is sinful.  Our nation's chief law enforcement officer is beyond despicable by using Scriptures to justify his immoral demeanor.  And for Trump to allow Sessions to conduct himself in such a depraved fashion makes the president of the United States complicit in wickedness, which any decent American should not accept, and the rest of the world should condemn.

On May 7th, 2018, Sessions was adamant that he would enforce a "zero tolerance policy" to criminally prosecute people who enter our country illegally.  So in a speech to police officers in Fort Wayne, Indiana...Sessions - on Thursday, June 14th - heartlessly declared that breaking up families...taking children away from their parents...is not "unusual or unjustified."  Sessions, in part, quoted a passage from the New Testament.  "Persons who violate the law of our nation are subject to prosecution.  I would cite you the Apostle Paul and his clear and wise command in Romans 13 to obey the laws of the government because God has ordained them for the purpose of order.  Orderly and lawful processes are good in themselves and protect the weak and lawful."

Later the same day, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders augmented Sessions comments by noting..."It is very biblical to enforce the law. That is actually repeated a number of times throughout the Bible."  Whatever happened to "separation of church and state?" Those five words were paraphrased from Thomas Jefferson and then used by others when expressing an understanding of The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Ratified in 1791, there is a First Amendment clause which reads..."Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."  However, the specific words "separation of church and state" do not actually appear in our country's Constitution.

I don't believe that God has any desire to sever a child's ties from his or her mother and/or father just because those parents want to give their offspring a better life.  That's not the God I pray to.  That's not the God that I have spent more than six decades believing in.  That's not the God who encourages each of us to achieve success...to be happy...and to live our lives to our fullest potential.

But Donald Trump and Jeff Sessions have no problem separating children from their parents.  These two brutal beasts have incarcerated innocent youngsters in overcrowded facilities that are not in any way a home.  Some people who have observed these quarters have compared them to prisons.  No person should be abused when seeking asylum in the United States.  And all Sessions can do is accuse the kids' moms and dads for taking them on "such a treacherous journey."

As a result, one such shelter - right across the Mexico border in Brownsville, Texas - now holds about 1,500 boys who are between 10 and 17 years old. These kids are basically jailed twenty-two hours of each day with only two hours of freedom daily to go outside.  The tweens and teens are packed together with little or no privacy.  Other

holding centers house young girls. In addition, there is an old warehouse in McAllen, Texas where hundreds of migrant children are being caged like animals.  CBS News reports that one metal enclosure had twenty youngsters inside.  There are reportedly more than 1,100 people who are caged at this facility that is sectioned in to separate areas for unaccompanied children, adults who are by themselves, and parents with kids.  The overhead lighting remains on 24 hours a day.

Meanwhile, so-called "tent cities" are in the planning stages on Army and Air Force bases.  But tents are already being set up near the border station in Tornillo, Texas where summertime outdoor temperatures can exceed 100 degrees.  This is not any way for America to treat people... especially children.  But Sessions says he refuses to give in, so "If you cross the southwest border unlawfully, then the Department of Homeland Security will arrest you, and the Department of Justice will prosecute you.  That is what the law calls for - and that is what we are going to do. Having children does not give you immunity from arrest and prosecution."

Donald Trump and Jeff Sessions are dangerous.  They are tearing apart families at our southern border...and they are denying basic human rights to individuals who deserve better.  Congressman John Lewis says..."Jeff Sessions has a long, LONG history of racism."  And the Georgia Democrat also says that Sessions "continue(s) to infect our justice system with his overt racism."

The White House claims there's a law that requires migrant children to be separated from their parents when those mothers and/or fathers cross the border illegally.  There is no such law.  It's another one of Donald Trump's lies that his base has gotten sucked in to believing.  But it's just not true.

Here's what is fact.  Adults who are apprehended while illegally crossing the border in to the United States with their children should - according to the law - be held in a U.S. immigration detention center until a judge hears the case.  Generally - in the past - the court would rule if the mothers and/or fathers should be deported as unauthorized immigrants.  But Trump and Sessions are demanding criminal prosecution.  Therefore, when migrant adults are sent to a federal jail, that's when parents are divided from their kids.  The youngsters can't stay in federal jails so they're placed in make-shift dormitories.

The Boston Globe reports that border agents have informed some migrant parents that their children were being temporarily moved elsewhere so they could take a bath.  But the mothers and/or fathers never saw their kids again.

It's not common for her to publicly do so, but Melania Trump - in essence - butted heads with her husband...when on Sunday, June 17th, she encouraged Republicans and Democrats to join forces to put a stop to the separation of migrant children. According to a statement by her spokeswoman, "Mrs. Trump hates to see children separated from their families and hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together to achieve successful immigration reform."

The government wants us to think that the childrens' facilities are "not detention center(s)."  Officials claim "it's a big, big difference."  Unfortunately, though, the kids being held in the aforementioned temporary lodging cannot come and go as they please...and they are not with their parents, which they should be.

On Father's Day June 17th in New Jersey, "The Garden State" became a state of pandemonium when seven House of Representatives Members from New York and New Jersey attempted to enter the Homeland Security detention facility in Elizabeth, for which the lawmakers said they were given authorization by the lawyers who represent five people who are seeking asylum and who have been separated from their children.  It took nearly two hours before the Democratic Party politicians were granted access.  But prior to the doors opening for them, New Jersey Congressman Bill Pascrell tweeted that he and his colleagues were "literally banging on the door to gain entry to the jail to see separated families."

After finally being allowed to proceed inside the building to meet with the detainees, a news conference was held by Representative Pascrell plus the other six House Members including New Jersey Representatives Frank Pallone and Albio Sires, along with New York Representatives Adriano Espaillat, Hakeem Jeffries, Carolyn Maloney and Jerry Nadler. Congressman Sires was appalled by what he witnessed inside the facility.  "What I saw in there is inhumane.  I see the politics of this administration...and it turns my stomach, because I know what this country stands for.  And that's not what we are in America."

Donald Trump still insists that he's going to build a wall along the the U.S.-Mexico border.  But since Trump first vowed to construct his xenophobic and racist barrier three years ago, I wrote that such a monstrosity would never be built. And I've written it time and time again in numerous other columns.  So therefore...I stick to my word.  There will NEVER be a wall.

As usual with Donald Trump, he takes no responsibility for anything he does that is wrong, harmful and hateful toward others.  Instead, he points the finger of blame at liberal and progressive lawmakers - not himself - for children being separated from their parents.  "That's what the Democrats gave us."

Republican leaders in both the House and the Senate - along with other GOP Members of Congress - need to find some courage to take on Trump instead of being spineless weenies who won't stand up for what's fair and decent.

I am in favor of giving legal American citizenship to all law abiding immigrants. And crossing the border should not be considered breaking the law.  I suggest we put out the welcome mat as we did many years ago.  And certainly do not prosecute people - most of whom are originally from Mexico and various Central American nations - who simply want to give themselves and their families a pathway for their dreams to come true...a life of freedom...with the hope of an education for their children or themselves...and the possibility - with good, hard work - to be prosperous and successful.

Reportedly, about 1,500 immigrants illegally cross the border in to America everyday.  The first offense is a misdemeanor.  However, if parents are arrested and charged, Sessions - with Trump's approval - tosses these individuals in to a federal prison.  And if they are parents who have entered the U.S. with their children...those youngsters are separated from their mothers and/or fathers.

From April 19th to May 31st, the Department of Homeland Security reports that the Trump administration has ripped 1,995 children from the arms of 1,940 parents. That's about 46 kids every day over six weeks.  But the Office of Refugee Resettlement says there are currently more than 11-thousand migrant children in U.S. custody.

On the Sunday, June 17th broadcast of NBC's Meet The Press with Chuck Todd, Congressman Adam Schiff rightfully attacked Donald Trump and his cronies.  "What the administration is doing...is they're using the grief, the tears, the pain of these kids as mortar to build their wall."  And the California Democrat accused the Trump White House's efforts as a scheme to "extort a bill to their liking in the Congress. It's, I think, deeply unethical."

The House plans to vote on a compromise immigration bill this week.  But it's not likely to pass...and it, therefore, won't go to the Senate.

To once again quote Congressman John Lewis..."The White House continues to eliminate human rights protections and endanger those who seek freedom.  Every hour that goes by is another hour of trauma for these moms, dads, and children."

On Father's Day 2018...for dads - and moms too - to have had their children stolen from them is scuzzy and atrocious. Democratic Senator Jeff Merkley of Oregon says..."My heart broke when I saw families trying to start a new life in America being torn apart, thanks to Donald Trump's immigration policies."

What I call the "Brownsville Border Box" - known as Casa Padre - is reportedly keeping children for an average of fifty-two days.  Some kids are then sent to foster homes, if relatives who are United States citizens or legal residents cannot be located.
This is unconscionable.  It's an abomination.  But Donald Trump and Jeff Sessions don't care.  They just don't give a damn.  After all...Trump has not a scintilla of empathy for anyone.

I wonder, though, how much Trump would suffer if 12-year old Barron Trump was taken away from Melania and him.  I ask you, Donald.  How would you feel if the shoe was on the other foot?

And that's The Controversy for today.

  1. Here we go blame everything on President Trump. The President himself has said he hates that children are being separated from their parents but we have laws that say if you criminally charge someone and taking then to jail they can’t take their children with them. Yes, they could still charge them civilly and do catch and release and let them keep their kids. Then up to 70% don’t show up for their hearing. We need both parties in Congress to grow a pair and fix this problem, write a bill that includes the four pillars the President has required and send it to his desk to make it a law. I won’t get into the Church and State thing with you, all I will say is that the “establishment clause” in the Constitution, yes that is what it is called was to prevent the US government from trying to do what England had done creating the Church of England and the Founders did not want the government trying to establish a Church of the United States. It was never meant to ban God from government. American is a welcoming country with a welcome mat at the door but these people are trying to break into your house through the basement window instead of ringing the bell and asking to come in, that makes them criminals! It was not unexpected that the hater Congressman John Lewis played the “race card”, as usual when you don’t have facts to back up what you say play the race card! The law does require when you are charged criminally that you can’t take you children to jail with you that is the law. When you cross the US border illegally with children it is a crime and we now are following the law and prosecuting you. Melania Trump is not as you put it “in essence - butted heads with her husband” he has said he doesn’t like it, so if the Democrats would get off their butts and work with the Republicans and the President and pass a bill this could all be fixed. The Democrats want an issue for the mid-terms, they don’t care about fixing the problem with this or with DACA, and they just want to hate President Trump. Adam Schiff should never talk about ethics, because he doesn’t have any he is a hater, once again Congressman John Lewis is a hater and I believe is a racist against white people. You asked how President Trump would feel about having Barron taken away from him and Melania, well if he broke the law it would happen but he hasn’t broken the law so it won’t happen. Maybe these illegals should think about it before breaking our laws! Congress can fix this problem if they would do their job and pass a bill that builds the wall, gets rid of chain migration and the visa lottery and fixes DACA! The Democrats will fight anything that fixes this so they can have the issue in November and continues their hate for the President. Democrats want issues not solutions!

Yep...blame it all on Trump and Jeff Sessions, just as I state in my column.

The fact of the matter is - as I discussed in my editorial - there is no law that requires that families be separated. Trump is a liar. But then..what else is knew. He lies about everything.

Trump should do what President Obama did. If a family illegally crossed the border in the past then they would be taken to a detention center - not federal jail - and in a short period of time - generally in a matter of hours - a judge would hear the case. If asylum was granted, they stayed. If not, they were sent back home (ie: to Mexico). The children were not separated from their parents and there was nobody being caged like animals. For Trump and Sessions to cage children...and adults...is beyond disgraceful.

As long as a "wall" is included - along with some of Trump's other moronic demands - no Democrat will agree to an immigration bill. And many Republicans will not agree to it as long as they think the legislation appears to be amnesty.

I'm very well aware of "the Establishment Clause." But since most people simply include it as part of the First Amendment - which it is - I merely quoted it. However, another way of putting it is...the clause in the First Amendment of the US Constitution that prohibits the establishment of religion by Congress. That means the Attorney General should not be citing a passage from the Bible - whether it be the Old or New Testament - in order to defend a law. You are so wrong when you write that the Founders "never meant to ban God from government."

You write..."America is a welcoming country with a welcome mat at the door, but these people are trying to break into your house through the basement window instead of ringing the bell and asking to come in, that makes them criminals." That statement is totally off base. The fact of the matter is...if they did "ring the bell" and "ask to come in"...you, Trump, Sessions, and other Republicans would turn them away. So YOU and TRUMP and SESSIONS and other REPUBLICANS...don't put "a welcome mat at the door."

Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding!!! You just won today's "HATER PRIZE." Johnny, tell him what he's won. "Well Gary, your reader has won a hot and steamy vaction in hell. He'll spend his time visiting other haters at the Loathsome Lodge." I need not continue. I think you get my point. And satan will give you another one with his pitchfork.

It's amazing that with every column I write there is at least one or more Republicans who accuse me...or a chosen elected Democrat...of being a hater. Congressman John Lewis is NOT a hater. And he certainly does not have to "play the race card." Lewis has been a prominent civil rights leader for more than half a century. I will quote Wikipedia. "Lewis, who as chairman of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) was one of the "Big Six" leaders of groups who organized the 1963 March on Washington, played many key roles in the Civil Rights Movement and its actions to end legalized racial segregation in the United States. Lewis has been awarded many honorary degrees and is the recipient of numerous awards from eminent national and international institutions, including the highest civilian honor of the United States, the Presidential Medal of Freedom." Congressman Lewis is respected and revered by Democrats and Republicans alike. For you to attack John Lewis is despicable.

My facts are correct...and once again you - like my many of my other Republican readers - have not read my column carefully. The following is exactly what i wrote. I basically explained it above, in the first part of my response to you, but I will elaborate here by quoting my own editorial.

"The White House claims there's a law that requires migrant children to be separated from their parents when those mothers and/or fathers cross the border illegally. There is no such law. It's another one of Donald Trump's lies that his base has gotten sucked in to believing. But it's just not true. Here's what is fact. Therefore, when migrant adults are sent to a federal jail, that's when parents are divided from their kids. The youngsters can't stay in federal jails so they're placed in make-shift dormitories." Those are the facts.

You can try to spin Melania Trump's words to be in support of her husband, but you'd be wrong. She's about fed up with "The Donald" anyway. If Trump wanted to not separate children, all he would have to do is order Sessions to do exactly what President Obama did. Plain and simple.

As for the mid-terms...if Donald Trump is still in The White House come mid-terms (or shortly thereafter) then the soon-to-be Democratic Congress (which I believe it will be) will need to deal with Mike Pence. That is - as I have stated in other columns - if Pence is not found to be involved in a cover-up and is subsequently forced to resign along with Trump (if both are not impeached and removed from office). If that happens...then the new Democratic speaker of the house will become president. I have said it over and over and over again. There will NEVER be a "wall."

Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. Look at this. My contestant has won the bonus round. Johnny, tell today's champion hater what he's won. (I need not continue).

Congressman Adam Schiff is not a hater either. He is a dedicated and loyal American who serves our country with honor and integrity.

I've already responded to the last lines of your comments, but I will do so again. THERE WILL NEVER BE A WALL!!! And as long as Donald Trump and the Republicans include such a xenophobic and racist monstrosity in an immigration bill, we'll be back here discussing this issue again. But once Democrats regain control of Congress, then Trump (if he's still in office) will have to compromise and work with Democrats. If not, I suppose Democrats (and other decent Americans) will have to hold our breaths until November 2020 (and then January 20th, 2021) for a Democrat to win the presidency and take office in order to do what is decent and fair for immigrants. But long before then, I hope enough Republicans in Congress will somehow convince Trump that an immigration bill WITHOUT A WALL is the way to go. If that doesn't happen, though...then we will go 'round and 'round in this circle again.

    4. You are wrong again; the law does require them to be separated if the parents are charged criminally. You want to talk about President Obama, check out the picture Democrats put out from 2014 (claiming it was during the Trump administration) of children in cages during the Obama administration! What new religion was the AG trying to establish by quoting the Bible? None, he was quoting an established religious document not trying to establish a religion. In 2017 America held open the door and welcome mat for over 50,000 refugees who rang the bell and asked to come in that is a pretty big welcome mat. I don’t think I will be going to hell because there are too many Democrats there already that would keep me out with their hate. So you believe that just because you are a “civil rights leader” you can’t be a hater. What about Jesse Jackson who referred to Jews as "Hymies" and to New York City as "Hymietown" in January 1984, what about Louis Farrakhan and all his anti-Semitic and all his anti-white hate speech, how about Al Sharpton, I’ll just pick one of his hateful speeches 1992 at Kean College in New Jersey, calling for Blacks to “offing cops” and “crackers”, all civil rights leader that are haters, so Congressman John Lewis can be great civil rights leader but also a hater. Once again you miss quoted or took out of context what was said by the White House there is a law that requires families to be split up if the parents are charged criminally, since the policy is zero tolerance and we charge them all criminally the LAW requires HHS/ICE to remove minor children from their parents’ custody. You are correct if the President wanted he could change the policy to allow the illegals to get charged civilly and keep the children but that would not be a deterrent to future illegals, they must know there is a penalty for breaking our laws. Congressman Adam Schiff is a leaker, a liar and a hater. As for the mid-terms don’t hold your breath, the House may go to the Democrats (I said “may”) but I believe the Senate not only will stay with the GOP, I would bet if the election was today they would pick-up seats, total GOP seats going to 54-56. NO impeachment no resignation! Maybe with a great economy and a Nobel Peace Prize maybe 4 more years!

Why must you Republican Trumpers continue to lie as "The Donald" does? Why can't you realize the FACTS in this matter are crystal clear. THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ANY LAW PASSED BY THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS THAT MANDATES THAT MIGRANT CHILDREN BE SEPARATED FROM THEIR PARENTS!!! Fact-checkers have confirmed that there is only a Trump administration policy...I repeat a "policy", which recently was decided upon by the Justice Department - made by Jeff Sessions and approved by Donald Trump - to implement such a Trump administration POLICY. THERE IS NO LAW! And Democrats have never, ever initiated any such law to do what Trump and Sessions are doing. As I wrote in my column, it was Sessions - on May 7th, 2018 - who stated that parents caught crossing the border with children would be separated from their kids. It is that "zero tolerance policy" that YOU and Trump and Sessions are all calling LAW. IT IS NOT A LAW!!! Prior to the Trump/Sessions policy, children were never separated from parents unless there were questions of potential human trafficking, danger to the child, or false claims to parentage. Trump can lie all day long that "we have to break up the families" because of a law that "Democrats gave us" but what he has said is not in any way true. It is a lie and a lie that YOU and other Trumpers have been brainwashed to believe. Because Sessions is charging these migrant parents with "a crime" and, therefore, sending them to federal jail...is the only reason why there has been separation because when children are not charged with a crime, they are not permitted to be jailed together with adults. However, no other United States president or attorney general has ever charged such migrant adults with a crime for merely crossing the border, but - as I stated in my column and in earlier responses above - in the past, such migrants were detained for a few hours, a case was heard, asylum was granted or not, and if not, the migrants were sent back to Mexico or wherever they came from. Parents and children were never separated and nobody was charged with a federal crime and thus jailed. YOU...YOU...YOU ARE WRONG with your statements. Know the facts or go away. I don't mind debating with my readers about issues where OPINIONS are valid to have...but when you claim "there is a law" when the truth is that "THERE IS NO LAW"...then I have no time to have further discussions with someone who is so ignorant that they cannot admit when they are wrong. And YOU...and DONALD TRUMP...and JEFF SESSIONS...and OTHERS LIKE THE THREE OF YOU...are WRONG. AND YOU'RE LIARS!!!

I will add this, though...you can dream on about the mid-terms, but the majority of the people in this country are better than you...better than Trump...and better than Sessions. I have faith that Americans will throw out the bums on the "right" who are poisoning our nation. The "great economy" is NOT totally great. Not with gasoline prices over three bucks a gallon...which is the fault of Trump backing out of the Iran deal. Other areas of the economy that are indeed great began because of all the efforts and success by President Obama. And one more thing...as I can't help but laugh at your remark that Trump will win a "Nobel Peace Prize." What a joke! The summit with Kim Jung-un was an embarrassment. If there is any peace between North and South Korea, it will be because of the South Korean president's doings...not Donald Trump. Trump achieved NOTHING when it came to denuclearization. There'll be no Nobel Peace Prize for Trump...as there will be no wall.

You really don't know how to read, do you? Either you can't READ...or you just don't have the intelligence to UNDERSTAND. But I never said that "children should go to jail with their parents." In the past, as a misdemeanor - which is what crossing the border always was - families stayed together in what was tantamount to an office until the parent or parents met with a judge. They were either granted asylum or they were escorted back with their children across the border. If you read my column, I wrote..."I am in favor of giving legal American citizenship to all law abiding immigrants. And crossing the border should not be considered breaking the law. I suggest we put out the welcome mat as we did many years ago. And certainly do not prosecute people - most of whom are originally from Mexico and various Central American nations - who simply want to give themselves and their families a pathway for their dreams to come true...a life of freedom...with the hope of an education for their children or themselves...and the possibility - with good, hard work - to be prosperous and successful."

Other presidents didn't have "illegals" charged "criminally" not "because none of them had the guts or desire to protect America" because obviously protecting our country is part of their oath of office and except for President George W. Bush - who, prior to 9/11, didn't listen when he was given intelligence about terrorists using airplanes to crash in to buildings - other presidents in modern history did in fact protect our nation. Mr. Bush did so after 9/11, but I just wish he had paid attention to credible intelligence. All that being said, presidents - other than Trump - believed as I do that people seeking asylum should be given the freedom to do so, and therefore such migrants were not charged with a felony. As I have written - if they are law abiding people...let 'em all in. Who knows? One of those little Mexican or Honduran boys or girls who are being caged like animals in Texas - given the chance of an American education - just might cure cancer...or the common cold. Or perhaps he or she would invent something so spectacular that it would bring total peace to our world.

Because our hater has returned to spew out more hatred, our producers have added dinner with the devil himself. That's right. You are truly disgusting...not to mention that it's embarrassing that you actually call yourself an American when you make statements claiming that I don't want to protect America. Putting out the welcome mat and helping other people so that they can have better lives does not mean that I don't care enough about our country to protect it.

Of course you won't "go in to Obama and our economy" because economists worldwide credit President Obama with the economic success of our country after President George W. Bush destroyed it and put us in to the greatest recession since the Great Depression.

I truly hope that I do not know you because your comment about cancer is abhorrent. I'm a two-time cancer survivor. And if Donald Trump or anybody on the planet came up with a "one-pill cure for cancer"...I would applaud that person with a standing ovation...and if I had the opportunity to meet that individual...I would give him or her the biggest hug I could give. As for putting the employees of chemotherapy centers out of work...believe me...I'm sure each and every person that works in a cancer treatment center of any kind hopes that someday they are forced to find a new job because somebody cured cancer with one pill. You are an evil, vicious and hateful person who needs to be institutionalized. You and Donald Trump truly represent the worst of Americans. Thank God the majority of people - based on polls - agree more with me...than they do you.

  5. I must say you once again proved yourself as a hateful, unpatriotic liar, and partisan hack for the lies you stated about President Bush. Your lies have been disproven by the 911 commission’s report. The so called intelligence was about possible hijackings, the President ordered the FAA in July 2001 to increase security, the FAA issued warnings to all airlines advising that "terror groups are known to be planning and training for hijackings." In August 2001, President Bush receives a CIA report about al Qaeda and the possibility of airline hijackings. The report was passed on to US Embassies and other overseas facilities. Later in August the Administration had the FAA issues an alert about "disguised weapons." All airlines were alerted that terrorists might use common objects such as cell phones or clothespins or other items as weapons. The FBI, State Department, Customs and INS were all notified about the CIA’s concerns about Nawaf Alhazmi and Khalid Almihdha, all agencies were on alert and searching for them. President Bush did his job! Stop the lies. The President that didn’t protect America was Obama giving Iran billions and billions of dollars to spend on terrorism, to support those who kill Americans and attack our allies like Israel and others and made us no safer from Iran getting a nuclear bomb, Obama is the President that didn’t protect America. I won’t go into the economy because it is not worth giving you facts when all you believe are the left wing lies of hate on President Bush, who did not destroy our economy (yes it was on his watch), we had a little thing called 9/11 then we had the banks which were doing house loans to people that couldn’t afford them, these bank were forced to do this by the Clinton Administration, when those loan failed the banks started to go and it all traces back to President Clinton. I know you will call them lies but they are the facts. I am sorry about your cancer and hope you are better, but still believe you would find fault in anything President Trump would do. You are a hater as is many of you left wing followers and I don’t believe you care for what is best for America and Americans, you may think you do but you truly don’t. If you did you wouldn’t be a liberal.

    1. The response to the above reader will be in THREE parts.

      PART ONE OF THREE

I really don't want to continue a conversation about 9/11 at this point because no matter what FACTS I provide you, you are going to be hateful towards liberals. After all, YOU are an evil, vicious hater. This will be my last comments to you below this column. You PROVE your hatred with your statement..."You are a hater as is many of you left wing followers and I don't believe you care for what is best for America and Americans, you may think you do but you truly don't. If you did you wouldn't be a liberal." You sound like a communist. The fact of the matter is...President George W. Bush and National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice ignored a memo and advice from Counter-terrorism chief Richard A. Clarke - prior to 9/11 - that al-Qaeda was likely to attack the United States using airplanes. Former Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick was the only member of the 9/11 Commission who was permitted - under an agreement with the Bush administration - to read President Bush's Daily Brief. Of course you are going to disagree with the facts here because you're going to say that because Gorelick is a Democrat and because she served in President Bill Clinton's administration that what she is saying is not true...but IT IS FACT. Gorelick has testified that information in the documents "would set your hair on fire." Since much of the details are classified she has been unable to publicly disclose those details, but Gorelick says the documents contained "an extraordinary spike" in intelligence warnings of al-Qaeda attacks that had "plateaued at a spike level for months" before 9/11. The bottom line is this...and any sane person would recognize that THIS IS FACT. IF Mr. Bush had listened to Clarke and not ignored his memo...had not ignored CIA and intelligence from other agencies...9/11 could have been prevented. However, what has been de-classified and is in the National Security Archives, includes that Osama bin Laden was determined to strike the United States, and that information from the Central Intelligence Agency was included in President Bush's Daily Brief and given to him on August 6th, 2001. That information warned of terrorism threats from bin Laden and al-Qaeda. That was 36 days before September 11th, 2001. THESE...ARE...FACTS!!! And the 9/11 Commission confirmed THESE FACTS!!! But you can lie...but your lies are never going to become true. Condoleezza Rice lied when she said she did not recall any reports about al-Qaeda using aircraft as weapons before 9/11. Richard Clarke testified that Rice and President Bush had ignored warnings of such threats, but they refused to treat them as "urgent." If Bush and Rice had not ignored Clarke and the CIA...there may never have been a "9/11." But I have written well-researched columns in the past, which has included information confirmed by the 9/11 Commission, so I'm not going to get in to a back and forth with you today. However, when you make such belittling and degrading statements - that are false - I had to set the record straight for those readers who have some intellectual integrity...which obvioiusly you lack.

As for President Barack Obama's Iran deal, your comment is so ludicrous that I won't even discuss it with you. Our allies agreed with the deal and Donald Trump backing out of it was despicably wrong. And now we have gasoline prices way above three dollars a gallon. Your hate towards President Obama is disgusting. Economists worldwide have stated categorically that President Bush is responsible for our Great Recession during his tenure in The White House. You cannot defend Bush. And your lies about President Bill Clinton cannot do that.

Your previous comment about cancer is reprehensible and contemptible. I wouldn't have even replied to your latest comments but I can't allow my readers to think that any of your venomous verbiage is true. YOU...are a hater...and a liar...just as Donald Trump is...so I had to provide the TRUTH so people could actually read FACTS. Now they can believe me or they can read the 9/11 Commission report and research - as I have done - by reading the Archives. But the FACT...of the matter IS...what I have written above is TRUE.

    3. PART THREE OF THREE

A couple more points I will make regarding the subject matter of my column. The following is a direct quote. "A new poll by CBS News finds that two-thirds of Americans disapprove of separating undocumented children from their parents at the U.S. border. Sixty-seven percent of Americans call it unacceptable to separate kids from parents who have been caught trying to enter the U.S. illegally. Much of this is driven by large percentages of Democrats (90 percent) and independents (66 percent) who find it unacceptable, while Republicans are more divided overall, with 39 percent calling it unacceptable, and one in five had not heard enough about it. Older, very conservative Republicans are more apt to say it is acceptable, while younger and more moderate Republicans do not." But it just goes to show you that Trump still has one-third of the country that remains as his base...and all he cares about is his base. He is NOT the president of the United States. Donald Trump is president of ONE-THIRD of the United States. And I think he should be referred to as just that.

The disgraceful news conference on June 18th by Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was filled with lies and Democrats are publicly calling for her to resign. Privately - sources say - that even some Republicans are calling for Nielsen's resignation. Wait until you start seeing Republicans calling for Trump to resign.

Donald Trump can double-down and triple-down on his policy to separate families at the border, but before Bob Mueller even finishes his investigation on Russian interference in our election plus any conspiracy and obstruction of justice on the part of Trump, it's quite possible that it will be Trump's actions regarding these children that could cause his removal from office.

And finally...all four living former first ladies — Rosalynn Carter, Hillary Clinton, Laura Bush and Michelle Obama — have also have condemned the Trump administration's practice of separating parents and children at the border. But I suppose you will even disagree with Laura Bush. What a shame that Barbara Bush is no longer with us. I'm confident that she too would agree with the other first ladies...including her own daughter-in-law. But you go ahead and defend Donald Trump. Does he really have to "shoot somebody" "in the middle of Fifth Avenue" before you stop supporting him? Nope. You'd probably still support him even then.

Now go away. Take your hatred and go away. Go far, far away.

  6. I have no hatred and you twist the words of everyone. President Trump has said many times he doesn't like this policy and that if the Democrats would come to the table and help pass immigration reform with boarder security this action could end tomorrow. The Democrats don't care enough about these kids to do anything that the President wants done. They want an issue not a solution. They as you do want open boarders which takes away America from Americans. You can keep telling your lies about President Bush, everything I stated above about what he did before 9/11 is fact and is in the 9/11 report, you can believe a disgruntled employee who hated President Bush or you can believe the facts. You will always believe the haters because you are one of them. I feel sad for you and your kind who have so much hate in your soul, please join the conservatives who have nothing but love for people and for America! God bless America and her people!

    1. 1 - I don't "twist the words of everyone." In fact, I don't "twist the words" of anyone.

2 - All Donald Trump has to do...IF...IF...he really doesn't like his own policy...is to change it. This has NOTHING to do with the Democrats. The Democrats did not create the current policy...Trump did.

3 - There will be no new immigration law as long as Trump keeps insisting that there be a wall. There will NEVER be a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.

4 - The Democrats care more about these children than Trump or anybody who supports Trump. But Democrats are not going to prostitute themselves to give Trump something that Democrats totally oppose. There will be NO wall. And two-thirds of the country is against Donald Trump's policy that is being enforced by Jeff Sessions and Kirstjen Nielsen.

5 - EVERY SINGLE WORD I WROTE IN MY RESPONSE ABOVE ABOUT PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH IS TRUE. It's all been fact-checked by respected fact-checkers nationwide. There is no debating the facts. You can lie all day long, but that's not going to change the truth. Facts are facts...and you can't change them because it's something you, other Republicans, and the NON-journalists at Fox News want you to believe.

6 - I told you already...stop with your hating and go far, far away. Your next comments will not be published. In fact to all of my readers...anybody who uses the word "hater" or "hate" to label or identify Democrats...or liberals...or progressives...or anybody else who represents those groups...or me...your comments will not be published. I am NOT a hater. But it's surely apparent that YOU are.

  7. I know you said you won’t publish this but I needed to answer your statements. You said “anybody who uses the word "hater" or "hate" to label or identify Democrats...or liberals...or progressives...or anybody else who represents those groups...or me...your comments will not be published” yet you can label patriotic Americans as haters and all sorts of name calling that you do, that’s okay in your mind. You can tell your lies, claim them to be facts, spew your hatred for our Constitution and our laws and get away with it. Per the US Constitution it is not the President that should fix this problem it is the Congress, they write the laws, so much of this has been caused by both the Dems and Republicans both being unwilling to do their job. If the Dems were willing to come to the table and pass one of the two bills in the house this would be solved. They rather have the problem instead of compromising. You may not put this up because the left loves to censor the other side, you only call out 1st amendment rights for the left, but at least you know there are people out here that know what kind of person that you are.

    1. When somebody like you defends Donald Trump's hatred towards others then that makes YOU a hater. How can you call yourself "patriotic" when you support babies being caged like wild animals? You are sick-minded. You cannot spin Trump's repulsive and cruel methods as "patriotic." Read my column from today. I'm sure you'll once again call me a "hater" after reading it.

You and other Republicans seem to always get this whole issue backwards. There is NO LAW. What Trump enforced was merely a policy. Today he was pressured to sign an executive order that will not separate any new migrant families who cross the border. But what happens now to babies and children - many of whom will never be reunited with their parents? They are likely to never see their parents again. This is disgraceful...and if you support Donald Trump, then you too are disgraceful. The Democrats are never going to agree on an immigration bill that includes a wall. There will never be a wall. There is no compromise when a wall is included.

Yes I did say I was not going to publish you again if you used the "hater" word. But see...I did publish your lies...including your venom that "the left loves to censor the other side." And one more thing...you're a total coward. You write your nauseating lies and continue to trash liberals, progressives and Democrats in general, but you refuse to identify yourself. You hide - as most of my Republican readers do - under the "anonymous blanket." My name and photo are on this site for everyone to see. You, however, are just a jerk who wants to be vicious and vulgar...and still...you remain a coward.

Now as I've said before...go away. Go far, far away.
