In Donald Trump's sick mind, the repeal of the Affordable Care Act would be another way he could validate his 2016 election against Hillary Clinton. With his narcissistic personality disorder, Trump could show - at least in his own mind - that Americans truly wanted him to be President. After all, Trump refuses to accept that the former Secretary of State won the popular vote by about three-million and, therefore, he feels it is necessary to do whatever he can to bulldoze anything to do with Mrs. Clinton...with former President Barack Obama...or with anything that - again in his mind - stinks of the Democrats. Accordingly...President Obama and the Affordable Care Act remind Trump of Secretary Clinton and the Democratic Party...and, as such, Trump needs to prove that he is better than Hillary Clinton, which he is not...and that he is the one and only winner.
Trump recently signed an executive order to establish the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity...as he continues to talk about widespread voter fraud. But there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever of such a crime. The chairman of the "advisory" panel is Mike Pence...Trump's vice presidential puppet who, as a Catholic, should go to confession for sinfully participating in such a bogus voter commission. As for its co-chairman, Kris Kobach...he is completely off the wall. In an interview on MSNBC - on Wednesday, July 19th, 2017 - Kobach implied that Hillary Clinton's victory in the popular vote was the result of illegal activity. NBC News correspondent Katy Tur asked..."Do you believe Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by 3-to-5-million votes because of voter fraud?" Kobach replied..."We will probably never know the answer to that question. Because even if you could prove that a certain number of votes were cast by ineligible voters, for example, you wouldn't know how they voted."
Democrats - and most of the rest of the country today - would be thrilled if the commission discovers that Trump didn't win a combined 78-thousand votes, which handed him Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Where would our country go from there if that is determined to be true? If those three states had wound up in Mrs. Clinton's column, she would have won those electoral votes...and, therefore...the presidency.
Donald Trump's loathing of Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and all things Democrat is a danger to our nation. And Trump's abhorrence is evident by his heartless desire to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. An analysis by the Congressional Budget Office - released on July 19th - says that the U.S. Senate's new healthcare bill would leave 32-million more Americans uninsured by 2026 than under current law. Thankfully seven Republican senators will not jump on Trump's bandwagon. Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia, Susan Collins of Maine, Mike Lee of Utah, Jerry Moran of Kansas, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Rand Paul of Kentucky and Rob Portman of Ohio have all announced opposition to the Senate bill. With 48 Democrats voting against it, there are 55 senators of the 100 who will not say "yea." Therefore, the measure will not pass. That is, as long as at least three of those Republicans don't change their minds when the vote eventually hits the Senate floor.
Donald Trump is a vengeful snake oil salesman with a vendetta. He obviously wants to bury the Affordable Care Act out of hate towards President Obama and the Democrats. Trump and most Republicans in Congress don't give a damn that the vast majority of Americans do not want the Affordable Care Act repealed and replaced. There are improvements that need to be made...and one day... hopefully...Democrats and Republicans together can make them happen. But for now, it would be criminal to repeal and replace a law that provides health insurance to more Americans than ever before. In addition, every major medical organization and advocacy group in the United States are opposed to the GOP's Senate healthcare measure, as they also did not support the House of Representatives bill. They include the American Medical Association, the American Hospital Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the National Association of Medicaid Directors, the American Association of Retired Persons, the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association and the American Cancer Society Action Network, among many others.
The fact that the Affordable Care Act is known as "Obamacare" is part of the problem. Donald Trump - and some Republicans in the House and Senate - simply want to attack and ruin part of Barack Obama's legacy. And a law with his name attached to it - even informally - is Trump's evil and vicious motive to destroy it. On Tuesday, July 18th, Trump declared that he is out to "let Obamacare fail." And by killing the 44th President's signature piece of legislation, Donald Trump and the GOP don't care...if, by doing so...it kills millions of people.
