FREEDOM TO LIVE AS AMERICANS

     It's July 4th, 2017. Independence Day.  Happy Birthday to the United States of America and to all Americans on this our 241st birthday, as we celebrate our freedom.

     Our Declaration of Independence is crystal clear. "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men (all people) are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness."

     We are a nation that represents freedom.  Freedom of speech...freedom of the press...freedom of religion...freedom to believe as we so choose and as we so desire. Whether the color of our skin is white, black, brown, yellow or red...whether we are male or female...whether we pray as Christians, Jews, Muslims, any other faith or don't pray at all...whether we are straight, bisexual, gay or transgender...whether we are Democrats, Republicans or Independents...no matter who we are in this great country...we should all have the same freedoms.  We should all have the freedom to live as Americans.

     Yes, we should.  Let's do what we can to make sure that we all do.

     And that's The Controversy for today.
