Why would anyone continue to "shoot himself in the foot?" Is Donald Trump sitting in his office...saying to his campaign managers and senior advisers..."What the hell do I have to do to get all these people to leave my side? What do I have to do to get out of this race?"
And if that is the case...does Trump secretly want Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton to win on November 8th...or...does he not care one way or the other about the former Secretary of State... but that his goal - for whatever the reason - is to simply destroy the Republican Party?
Unless Donald Trump is completely off the wall...and absolutely out of his mind - which he may be - why does he continue to get himself in to hot water by insulting others and creating controversies? Does the Republican nominee go to bed at night and think of how he can be more diabolical...and more offensive...than he was the day before?
Let's think about all of this for a moment...and wonder if Trump is more than just "unfit to be President" - as President Obama himself stated on Tuesday, August 2nd - or if Donald Trump is crazy. He just may be crazy...like a fox.
It was January 23rd...at a campaign rally in Iowa...when Trump - boasting about his loyal supporters - said, "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose any voters." Despite that earlier comment...such an act of violence would cause Trump to definitely lose Americans from casting their ballots for him. So as long as he doesn't kill anyone...or wound them seriously...maybe that's what Donald Trump has been planning all along.
And that's The Controversy for today.
