JOE BIDEN AS VICE PRESIDENT FOR 8 MORE YEARS

After reading the commentary below, please express your own thoughts.  Instructions on how to do so are written at the bottom of this column.  Thank you.

Could Joe Biden remain as Vice President with a President Hillary Clinton?  The answer is...yes.

Until the 22nd Amendment of the Constitution was ratified in 1951...there was never a term limit for the President of the United States.  But that law imposes a restriction of just two, four-year terms for the occupant of The Oval Office.  However, there is no limit for the Vice President.

So - as unlikely as it might be - for those of us who like Vice President Biden...there is a remote possibility of a Clinton-Biden ticket.

Of course, I still believe - as I wrote in my Saturday, July 9th, 2016 commentary - that Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio will be Mrs. Clinton's running mate.  But...we can always hope that the former Secretary of State will ask Mr. Biden to stay on - and that he will agree - for at least one term in a Clinton Administration...if not two.

And that's The Controversy for today.
