Despite the chance that Donald Trump could sweep the March 1st, 2016 "Super Tuesday" like a Hoover vacuum cleaner, I still think the billionaire businessman can be stopped.
The Republican Party realizes that true conservatives will stay home on Election Day - November 8th, 2016 - and they will, therefore, give up their right to vote if Trump is the GOP nominee.
In past Presidential election cycles, when there are a number of candidates running, Republicans throughout the United States would support whomever has been nominated. Democrats do the same. But, as we all know quite well, political rules this year have been tossed in to the trash. As such, there will be a shake-up in the Republican Party - and among Republicans nationwide - if Donald Trump is on the ballot for the GOP in November. Therefore, a third party candidate - to go head to head against Trump - (and the Democratic nominee, who I am confident will be Hillary Clinton) - is a strong possibility...if...and I do say if...the real estate and construction industry mogul ends up being the Republican nominee. An alternative conservative candidate would plunk the whammy on Donald Trump. And that would put smiles on every Democrat in our country...and certainly on the face of Mrs. Clinton...as that will give the former First Lady -
along with her husband, former President Bill Clinton - the keys to move back in to The White House.
I am not worried about Donald Trump taking on Hillary Clinton...nor am I concerned that Trump can beat the former Secretary of State. The majority of Americans - Democrats and Independents combined - are smart enough to know that Mrs. Clinton is the only person who can continue moving our nation forward...and not backward to medieval times or the stone age...which Trump or any other Republican will do.
It would be disastrous to the United States if Donald Trump is able to con Independents - and all Republicans - to thinking that he is best for America...because he clearly is not. But Independents...and of course Democrats too...are intelligent individuals who will rally behind Hillary Clinton on the campaign trail and all the way to the general election.
Donald Trump should be stopped by those who identify themselves as conservative Republicans. But...if they can't do it...more importantly, Donald Trump will be stopped...and stopped cold...by Hillary Clinton. And she will be the next President of the United States of America.
And that's The Controversy for today.
