In a nation where Jews are CEOs and presidents of major corporations, where Jews practically run the motion picture and television industry from Hollywood to New York City, where actors and other entertainers are beloved by millions, and where Jews in all walks of life are respected and rightfully considered equal by most Americans...it is deplorable to think that more than 47 million people in the United States are recognized as haters of Jewish people.
That being said, a recent Associated Press survey shows that 51 percent of all Americans express "explicit anti-black attitudes" - despite the fact that voters in this country elected an African-American President - not just once...but twice. It is, therefore, abhorrent to think that an astounding total of human beings hates any group of people because of their religious beliefs, the color of their skin or, for that matter, any other reason. However...the numbers are staggering and the rage of racism is repulsive, revolting and repugnant.
Anti-Semitism is rampant in many nations around the world...and the obscenities towards Jews by certain people - especially in the United States -are loathsome and despicable.
Nineteen percent of the people surveyed stated that "Jews have too much control or influence on Wall Street."
Fifteen percent believe that "Jews are more willing to use shady practices."
Sixteen percent feel "Jewish business people are so shrewd that others don't have a chance."
And a whopping 31 percent of the people polled by the ADL claim that "the Jews were responsible for crucifying Jesus Christ" with 30 percent insisting that "American Jews are more loyal to Israel than to the United States of America."
Despite the above negatives...79 percent of those people who consider themselves to be anti-Semitic...credit Jews for their "strong faith in God," while 84 percent say "Jews are big on family" and 64 percent feel "Jews contribute to American culture."
On April 21st, 2013 - at my alma mater, Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York - anti-Semitic graffiti was discovered on a dormitory room door. Two I.C. students - both Jewish and both members of the international Jewish fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Pi - awakened to find a swastika and the derogatory words "Heil Hitler" - in dripping red paint - defacing their East Tower door. The number "666" - which, to some, signifies the devil - also blemished the entrance to their room.
Jacob Greenberg - an Ithaca College student and writer for the school newspaper, The Ithacan - interviewed the two students - freshmen Ross Sugarman and Josh Bond - and photographed the image of hate on the dorm room door. An investigation by law enforcement officials is ongoing. According to a 2006 New York State law, the etching, painting, drawing or placing of a swastika on public or private property without the owner's permission is considered a felony and those who are convicted of such a crime can be sentenced to up to four years in prison. Also in 2006, the United States Commission on Civil Rights announced that anti-Semitic incidents on college campuses throughout the United States are a "serious problem" and the Commission recommended that the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights protects students from anti-Semitism by enforcing Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Congress clarified that Title VI applies to discrimination against Jewish students.
Although there are college students and millions of other people in the United States who disgustingly declare themselves as "Jew haters" - thankfully there are still 85 percent of Americans who do not agree with the sick bigotry and prejudice of anti-Semitism...but instead...judge people on their character, their merits and who they are as a person...not because of their religious beliefs.
We, as Americans, are blessed to be able to pray as we want, and to express our feelings of religion in our homes, our houses of worship, indoors, outdoors or anywhere else. In the United States, at least...freedom of religion is a guaranteed right provided by the First Amendment of our nation's Constitution. I can only hope...that in time...everyone will understand that...and agree with it.

History is full of horrors and atrocities and i think no race nor nationality is immune . The turks massacred the Armenians, MILLIONs perished and yet we do not hear of itall the time . The Native Americans massacred and tortured each other each other on a regular basis , they tortured and massacred the whites by the hundreds of thousands and of course the whites reciprocated, The English killed the Irish , the Scottish Indians etc. The Greeks enslaved and killed millins as did the Romans. The Chinese the japanese and on and on .. Two groups of people go on and on ad nauseum about their sufferings and frankly I and most peole grow weary of it .. YOU never suffered anything Gary nothing .. and so far as I know no American nor his parent nor grandparent suffered slavery . so stop whining and waving your religion about like a flag. one or two idiots painting swasticas is nothng different than the crap republicans take from Democrats !
